On May 23, 2019, an agreement was signed at the Stankomash Industrial Park (Chelyabinsk) for the supply of cast blanks between the BVK foundry, as part of the KONAR Industrial Group, and Siemens Gas Turbines Technology (SGTT). On behalf of BVK, the document was signed by its Director Danila Pykhov, on behalf of SGTT – by the General Director Nico Paetzold.
The companies have agreed on a strategic partnership and qualification of the BVK foundry as a supplier of steel castings for the parts of the Siemens gas turbine SGT5-2000E.
— We have all the necessary expertise in the field of large-sized castings, — emphasised Danila Pykhov. — The company already has a good track record in the design and manufacture of large-sized castings for power engineering companies. Cooperation with Siemens is a new stage of development for our foundry.
BVK transfers the latest available technologies and adopts the best practices from its Italian partner, the Cividale group -one of the most advanced foundries in Europe.
— We carry on our extensive cooperation with Russian suppliers and pursue their competence. I am convinced that BVK, as one of the most advanced steelmaking facilities in Russia, will become a reliable supplier of products and will develop its competence together with Siemens, — pointed out Nico Paetzold.
