The Minister of Industry and Trade talked to Valery Bondarenko, General Director of the Industrial Group.

In an interview with Rossiya TV channel, Mr. Manturov cited the Chelyabinsk company as clear evidence that economic relations between Russia and Italy are developing in a constructive and mutually beneficial way.

At the INNOPROM exhibition, KONAR presented a propeller manufactured on the basis of its own production capacities.

In accordance with the requirements of Russian Government Decree No. 719, this is 100 percent localized production in Russia, including casting, machining and balancing.

A vessel equipped with such propellers is able to move continuously in solid ice up to 1.5 meters thick.

Using the technological experience of its partner, the Italian company Cividale, KONAR has localized in Russia a production of high-tech components, including propeller blades, for 15 MW electric propulsion units. They are designed for LNG tankers of Arctic LNG-2 project. The first vessel Catherine the Great equipped with the propellers manufactured by KONAR will be launched in December 2020.
