«Best Mentor» Competition is arranged for all workers of all facilities in KONAR industrial group.

Competition has become a continuation of long-standing tradition of mentoring. For many years KONAR makes a practice when the specialists experienced in industrial specialties train new workers and interns to help them to master a profession more quickly, adopt as a part of team, prepare for complying with duties by themselves.

– I have mentored new young employees for a long time, – said Anatoliy Ilvichev, 50 years experienced all-round lath operator, who shares his experience for young employee at the shop No.58 in KONAR JSC. – Young people have different perspectives and mentality. It is needed to force them to think, so when we got a rush task, we come together with collective and make decisions how to achieve the best results and advising. Sometimes one person takes a detached view and creates the idea. I never hesitate to ask young persons to share their opinion, this way the training process is performed more effective.

– A competition to be provided in the period from 1 to 30 August 2020, this is extramural evaluation of the results of mentor activity and professional achievements of participants. Evaluation criteria are the professional competence of the participants, their professional growth, mentor activity for the last three years. From each facility only one candidate will be chosen to contest the victory. The best persons will get a cash bonus, – explained Elena Sokolova, Head of Professional Qualification Development Department of KONAR JSC.
