Production of forgings with punching was realized at MFT

At the beginning of March 2021, the first forging with a hole was produced at the new MFT plant.

Such forgings are used in a variety of industries — power engineering, shipbuilding, nuclear power plants and others.

– We have completed an important stage in the development of forgings, – said Ilya Gurin Head of Quality Division of MFT LLC. – This time the production of forging in the form of a sleeve with a formed central hole 385 mm in diameter has been realized. The production process of such forgings by the open-die forging method is at least not simple and requires a certain skill and technical training. We have successfully produced the first products of this type for Ural Heavy Machine Building Plant.

We’d like to remind that MFT is a part of KONAR Industrial Group and was commissioned in December 2020. Forgings of MFT have high quality characteristics and are used for parts operating in extreme environments as well. Products produced by MFT reduce import dependence and strengthen the position of the Russian Federation in heavy engineering.
