South Ural State University and Moscow State University of Technology STANKIN became strategic partners of the company.

Two agreements were made at the company’s booth during the INNOPROM international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg on the 10th — 13th of July.

KONAR and South Ural State University are tied by long-term relations. University students do internships at the enterprises of the Industrial Group, many graduates make a successful career here. This year, KONAR has become the SUSU reference industrial platform for training specialists for foundry production.

The document was signed by Rector of the main technical university of Chelyabinsk region Aleksander Vagner and Director of KONAR JSC Valery Bondarenko

The parties agreed on cooperation, including the development of joint educational programs, exchange of experience in the implementation of innovative technologies, creation of specialized classrooms and laboratories, popularization of engineering education in Chelyabinsk region and beyond.

– In its industrial segment, KONAR is a leader. This is the best example of technological development, and it is important for the university to get access to these advanced production facilities, to train students on the most modern equipment. The interest is mutual and for the company – this is a very targeted training of personnel. Such targeted education will provide the enterprises of the group with the necessary number of specialists, and will also make the transition from training to production almost “seamless” – after graduation, graduates will not have to complete their education. Of course, serious integration will be required. It is important to make sure that the same course projects, theses are relevant for KONAR, – emphasized the Rector of South Ural State University Aleksander Vagner.

The agreement with Moscow State University of Technology STANKIN, signed by its Rector Vladimir Serebrenny and Director of RDC-Konar LLC Evgeny Bodrov, confirms the mutual interest in the development of machine-tool industry and digital transformation of mechanical engineering.

We already have stable relations with KONAR – the first cooperation agreement was signed last year. Today’s event is the development of agreements aimed not only at training personnel, but also at conducting joint scientific work. By and large, all these are the first bricks in the foundation of global cooperation, – said Rector of MSUT STANKIN Vladimir Serebrenny.

According to him, at INNOPROM, the parties discussed the possibility of opening a specialized department at the university, as well as issues of localizing the production of components for machine tools at the company’s production facilities.
