BVK foundry, which is a part of KONAR Industrial Group, joined a new standard.

The eco-standard is a set of codes, rules and recommendations for performing enterprise activities, that could affect the environment. It was developed by the Coordinating Council for environmental issues in the region at the initiative of Governor of Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler. These are additional measures that are more stringent than the existing regulations in the field of ecology. It is important that each enterprise voluntarily decides to join and on conditions of full environmental openness.

According to Rashid Ismailov, Head of the Russian Ecological Society and Chairman of the Coordinating Council, the Chelyabinsk standard launched the process of forming the institute of environmental reputation of business. Some of the companies, in addition to meeting the stringent legal requirements, at their own initiative bear additional expenses to ensure a favorable environment.

At the last meeting on environmental issues, held on January 31, Rashid Ismailov in the presence of Aleksander Kozlov, Deputy Governor of Chelyabinsk region, presented Danila Pykhov, Director of BVK LLC, with a certificate of joining the environmental standard.

– When implementing any new production, KONAR Industrial Group directs about 10% of investments to compliance with environmental standards. BVK foundry, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is no exception. It was built taking into account the best available technologies, not only in technical terms, but also in terms of environmental standards, – says Danila Pykhov. – We fully support and join the initiative of the regional eco-standard, it is a logical continuation of our internal policy in the field of ecology.

Since 2014, BVK LLC has been implementing the environmental management system according to the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

Since 2020, KONAR Industrial Group and the Government of Chelyabinsk region have had the bilateral agreement on cooperation in the implementation of measures to improve the environmental situation. Joining the eco-standard is a significant step in terms of the company’s transition to a “green” economy.
