The KONAR Industrial Group began construction of Research and Development Center within the territory of the Stankomash Industrial Park. The new division accumulates competence of companies in research, testing, and development of new types of products.
In the last five years, KONAR has developed the concept of localization on the same premises of complete process flows for machinery production – from design and melting of billets of a required quality to assembly and testing of complex items. By now, the Industrial Group has received a unique experience in implementation of advanced technologies and best practices in the world. Leading European producers are actively involved in establishment of new joint ventures.
KONAR has its own inventions, which are successfully applied in major Russian projects. For example, the company’s specialists developed all-new types of pipeline supports for construction of the Zapolyarye-Purpe oil pipeline in permafrost conditions. This work was awarded the Government Award of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology.
— We have all essential components to launch Research and Development Center, which is formed on the basis of the research laboratories of the companies of the KONAR Industrial Group, — commented Technical Director Evgeniy Bodrov.
— It will be a center of special competencies — research, engineering and development and others. It will work under advanced projects and perform activities that are not directly related to a process cycle at a particular moment. For example, if you want to study special requirements of a customer, perform strength and process calculations of materials or products, cryogenic and dynamic testing of equipment.
Within the framework of this project, KONAR establishes a number of new laboratories, including the bench testing laboratory, material sciences laboratory, 3D modeling and prototyping laboratory. It is planned to involve potential and capabilities of Russian research and development institutes.
It is expected that R&D Center KONAR LLC will be launched by the end of 2018. Not only the companies of the KONAR Industrial Group, but also third-party companies which are interested in testing of materials or product samples with results of a confirmed status, will be able to make use of services of R&D Center.
— Our company is certified by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, certified by such companies, like General Electric, the quality system meets the requirements of ISO 9001-2015 and API Spec Q1. We plan to launch Research and Development Center not only for ourselves, but we will also be able to offer special service conditions for small and medium production business. The fact remains that such enterprises, without having a full range of testing equipment, qualifications and certificates, usually cannot perform certain work and undertake commitments under serious contracts, noted General Director of KONAR JSC Valery Bondarenko at the Small and Medium Business Congress of Opora Russia.
