By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, General Director of KONAR JSC was awarded a medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland of the II rank.
The corresponding document was approved by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on April 6, 2021 and published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Russian Federation. The decree notes that General Director of KONAR JSC Valery Bondarenko was awarded a state award for the achieved labor success and the long-term dedicated work.
The Medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland is awarded to citizens for special services in various industries, construction, science, education and other areas of labor activity.
Earlier, Valery Bondarenko was awarded the highest Italian order of Merit of the Italian Republic of the Knight rank for his significant contribution to strengthening economic relations between two countries (2018). He is a Citizen of Honour of Chelyabinsk (2019) and a Citizen of Honour of Chelyabinsk Region (2017), an Honorary Machine Engineer of the Russian Federation (2016), and was awarded the Russian Federation Government Award in Science and Technology (2014).
Valery Bondarenko is the Head of Russian KONAR Industrial Group, which unites about 20 facilities. The flagship company of the Group is KONAR JSC founded in 1991. This year the company will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
A number of joint ventures with Russian and foreign partners were established with the participation of KONAR JSC. The main sectors are foundry and forging division, mechanical division, metal structures division and engineering.
The basic production site of KONAR Industrial Group is Stankomash Industrial Park Chelyabinsk. There are 11 new resident facilities operating here, more than 5 thousand job positions were created. Production sites are also located in Chelyabinsk and Volgograd regions, official representative offices —in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara and Perm.
The facilities of KONAR Industrial Group participate in the federal program of import substitution and transfer of advanced technologies. They produce products for projects of the Russian Federation for the production, transportation, processing of oil and gas, including for LNG projects, as well as for the shipbuilding and power energy industries, industrial and civil construction.
