At the meeting with the representatives of Italian business groups Vladimir Putin noticed that the plant put in operation in Chelyabinsk is a “remarkable example of successful and win-win cooperation”.
An official ceremony of opening of the Russian Electric Motors plant (REM JSC) took place in the Stankomash Industrial park (Chelyabinsk). The company was established within the import-substituting performed by Transneft PJSC for arrangement of production of high-voltage electric motors in Russia. Project participants – Transneft PJSC (51%) and KONAR JSC (49%), technological partner – Italian company Nidec ASI S.p.A.
At the invitation of Valery Bondarenko, General Director of KONAR JSC, the representative forum was held in Chelyabinsk on the premises of the Stankomash Industrial Park with involvement of leading industrial companies of Russia. During the event the participants discussed involvement of industrial facilities of the country in the LNG projects of NOVATEK. Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Board of NOVATEK PJSC, highly appreciated production capabilities of the facilities located in the Industrial Park.
Valery Bondarenko, General Director of KONAR JSC, became a member of the Order of Merit for the Italian Republic. The relevant decree was signed by President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella. The official ceremony took place in the evening of May 30 at the Italian Embassy in Moscow. The award was presented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic in the Russian Federation Pasquale Q. Terracciano.
The KONAR Industrial Group began construction of Research and Development Center within the territory of the Stankomash Industrial Park. The new division accumulates competence of companies in research, testing, and development of new types of products.
Termomeccanica S.p.A. commented on the establishment of the joint venture with KONAR JSC — Termomeccanica Rus LLC. The new company will strengthen its position on the presence of Termomeccanica in the Russian market for compressor and treatment equipment, as well as provide a more accessible service to customers operating the supplied equipment.
The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation under advanced projects related to production of equipment for oil and gas and power industries.
The API (American Petroleum Institute) auditors verified the quality management system of KONAR for compliance with API Specification Q1, 9th edition.
On November 9, within the framework of the XIV Forum on Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, the agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation was signed between KONAR JSC, Gazprombank JSC and Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery (POCR). The target of the agreement is a joint use of production potential to enhance efficiency and improve competitive position in the market.
The representatives of Hitachi visited the Stankomash Industrial Park. The visit of the production site for them was conducted by Technical Director of KONAR JSC Evgeniy Bodrov. The visit’s program included BVK foundry, Russian-Italian joint venture JV KONAR-Cimolai for production of complex metal structures, machining workshop of KONAR and Transneft Oil Pumps plant for production of pumping units.
